Great news!! Although financially I'm still in a pickle, I recently got hired as an Instructor/Floor Artist for Painting with a Twist! Because I was in need of work, a friend/colleague of mine was hired by the same business, and I was actually recommended by the owner to join the awesome painting team!

My job is to teach people how to paint, and give them a good time with wine and food!! The most important part of the job is to have FUN with them!!

I know, as crazy as it sounds, I am still in disbelief on how I was able to work for such a great studio!! 

Also, I am currently working on one of my webcomics I started drawing since high school. Lenny and Robert is about two insect gamers that experience adventure, chaos, and comedy into one strip daily. I am thinking about creating several pages for one story, just so that people are interested.

The New Year is going to be interesting. Because despite all of the crazy situations that occurred this year, I'm going to try to live my life and make the most of it.

Fall is coming soon, and I have been struggling financially, but one good thing has happened:

MY CREATIVE ENERGY AND SKILLS HAVE BEEN IMPROVING!!

I don't know what it is, but every time I struggle with daily routines and money, I'm finding room to improve in my art. For the most part, there's actually another painting job I might have with my business partner. And possibly a teaching assistant job. 

It's not guaranteed these positions, but hopefully something will come through. 

Oh, and a big announcement: I am starting a new Deviant art page, with some new character designs. Some old character work will be re drawn since I have a different process these days.

Alright everybody, a lot has been happening, so I'll put all my new transitional life changes into a 3 step list:

1. I've been heavily involved as free-lance artist, working on two mural projects.

2. Been eating A LOT of food, just got back into working on my Lenny and Robert comic.

3. Still making music, I have a new album coming in 2017. A teaser will be released sometime mid-summer.



So I have been in and out of making illustrations because of my busy freelance lifestyle. To add on top of that, I've been thinking about renting an apartment and going back to school. It's going to be a tough challenge, financially and physically, I know that I can do it though. For the most part, I've taken the time to dedicate myself to finish a graphic novel of my old high school comic, Lenny and Robert. Now that summer is arriving, my freelance projects are closer to ending, and that'll free up so much time to getting that comic done. 

So I hope that you all enjoy your summer, I'm looking forward to an awesome 2016 Summer!!  ^_^

Painting any new art work hasn't happened for me yet, because I'm still working on this mural project with my friend/mentor. And on top of this I have a jewelry business to handle with my partners, it's been a busy week so far. Being extremely frustrated by supply challenges and orders, we haven't really started the mural the way we wanted to. So I'm not feeling too negative, but more stressed out and tired everyday. Not to mention that we have so much more jobs coming in the spring and summer.

So I'm not gonna allow any negative thoughts or habits to continue, I think taking charge of how I sleep and eat might help too.  I guess what I'm really bothered by is the absence of new creative artwork I haven't committed to, and that every other day is spent figuring out stuff and planning.

  In order to fix my small art world troubles, I'm bringing some paint and canvas home, and I'm going to make all my art in my room. And to add on to that solution, I will not take any stress with me, leavin' in that trash can outside of my home.

So even though a lot is happening, my determination, positivity, and hard work will keep going.    

My new artistic ventures has caused me to eat alot, and I'm feeling overwhelmed with the stress of being too busy for my family. I keep in touch with them over the phone, but it's harder to deal with making plans since we live in different areas. Speaking of schedules, I have a mural project deadline that has been thoroughly figured out with my friend and co-worker. This mural has been stalled heavily due to the horrible wall covered in water damage. We decided to build our own wall instead, considering that the project would go smoother that way.
I guess that another part of my stress could be that I have trouble sleeping sometimes. Since I left my job, I've doubled my efforts working hard teaching/assisting kids, and then focusing on my own personal music/art activities.

It seems that I have to also limit my volume recording, since I had my audiology appointment (ear, nose, and throat).
My doctor had explained that I have to limit certain volumes, he said I have super hearing, which was good to hear. I had trouble with buzzing and ringing, then he told me I might have nerve damage in my ears, or acoustic trauma.

I was just glad to hear that I wasn't suffering hear loss. Maybe I'll just do some raw acoustic sessions and get some more guitar equipment. And some valuable studio ear protection!!  ^^
